This Privacy Policy describes how PizzaBin (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use our Android application (“App”). By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
1. Who We Are
PizzaBin is an Android application designed to help users self-regulate their internet content access by filtering DNS queries through CleanBrowsing's family-filter service. The App enables blocking of adult content at the device level through DNS enforcement, optional uninstall protection, and custom blocklist/whitelist management.

2. Information We Collect
2.1 Account Information
When you create an account, we collect:
- Email address — Used for account authentication and login
- Password — Stored securely using industry-standard hashing through our authentication provider (Supabase GoTrue)
2.2 User Settings
We collect and sync your App configuration settings to enable cross-device functionality:
- DNS blocking on/off state
- Prevent Uninstall on/off state
- Block VPNs on/off state
- Custom blocklist enabled on/off state
2.3 Custom Rules
If you create custom blocking or whitelisting rules, we store:
- Website domains you add to your blocklist or whitelist
- App package names you add to your blocklist or whitelist
These rules are associated with your user account to sync across sessions.
2.4 Subscription Information
We store your subscription status (e.g., free or premium) to determine which features are available to you. Payment processing is handled by Stripe; we do not directly collect or store payment card details.
2.5 Information We Do NOT Collect
- Browsing history — We do not log, store, or transmit the websites you visit
- DNS query logs — DNS filtering happens locally on your device or through CleanBrowsing; we do not collect DNS query data
- Personal messages or passwords — The App's Accessibility Service (if enabled) only detects navigation to specific Settings screens and does not read passwords, messages, or other personal content
- Location data — We do not request or collect GPS or location information
- Contacts, photos, or files — We do not access your contacts, photos, camera, microphone, or files
- Device identifiers for advertising — We do not collect advertising IDs (GAID/IDFA) or use advertising SDKs
- Analytics or crash data — We do not use third-party analytics services (such as Firebase Analytics, Amplitude, or Sentry) to collect usage data
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information for the following purposes:
- Account management — To create and maintain your account, authenticate your identity, and enable login
- Feature delivery — To enforce your chosen DNS blocking, uninstall protection, VPN blocking, and custom rule settings
- Settings synchronization — To sync your preferences across app sessions and after device restarts
- Subscription management — To verify your subscription status and provide access to premium features
- Service operation — To enable real-time synchronization of settings changes
4. Third-Party Services
The App uses the following third-party services:
4.1 Supabase
Our backend infrastructure is hosted on Supabase, which provides:
- User authentication (GoTrue)
- Database storage (PostgreSQL)
- Real-time data synchronization
- Edge Functions for payment processing

4.2 CleanBrowsing
DNS queries are filtered through CleanBrowsing's family-filter DNS service when DNS blocking is enabled. CleanBrowsing handles these queries according to their privacy policy: https://cleanbrowsing.org/privacy
When using the non-root VPN mode, DNS queries are routed locally through CleanBrowsing's DNS-over-HTTPS service to ensure filtering.
4.3 Stripe
Premium subscription payments are processed by Stripe. When you upgrade to premium, you are directed to a Stripe checkout page. We do not receive or store your full payment card details. Stripe processes payments in accordance with their privacy policy: https://stripe.com/privacy
5. Data Storage and Security
5.1 Local Storage
The App stores settings and rules locally on your device using an encrypted Room database. This data persists on your device until you uninstall the App or clear App data.
5.2 Cloud Storage
Your account information, settings, and custom rules are stored on Supabase's servers. Data is transmitted using HTTPS encryption and stored with industry-standard security measures.
5.3 Data Retention
- Account data — Retained as long as your account is active
- Settings and rules — Retained as long as your account is active
- Local data — Deleted when you uninstall the App or clear App data

6. Permissions Explained
The App requests the following Android permissions:

| Bind Accessibility Service | Detect navigation to specific Settings screens (Device Admin, Accessibility, VPN, Private DNS) for uninstall protection; does not read content |

7. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.
We may share information only in the following circumstances:
- Service providers — With third-party services (Supabase, CleanBrowsing, Stripe) as necessary to operate the App, subject to their respective privacy policies
- Legal requirements — If required by law, court order, or governmental authority
- Business transfers — In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice to affected users
8. Children's Privacy
The App is designed for users who wish to self-regulate their content access. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 years of age. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child under 13, please contact us at support@pizzabinblocker.com so we can promptly delete such information.
Parents and guardians may use the App to set up content filtering on devices used by minors. In such cases, the parent or guardian is responsible for providing any required consent and managing the account.
9. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights:
- Access — Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- Correction — Request correction of inaccurate personal information
- Deletion — Request deletion of your personal information
- Data portability — Request a machine-readable copy of your data
- Withdraw consent — Withdraw consent for processing where consent is the legal basis

10. International Data Transfers
Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence, including the United States where Supabase infrastructure is located. By using the App, you consent to such transfers.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by:
- Posting the updated policy within the App
- Updating the “Effective Date” at the top of this policy
Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
